Manitoba Recipients of the Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Medal
The Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Medal was created in 1977 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the ascension of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II to the throne. The medal was awarded by the Governor-General of Canada to those who have made outstanding and exemplary contributions to their communities or to Canada as a whole.
The following persons from Manitoba were awarded the Silver Jubilee Medal in 1977. Please note that this list is known to be incomplete, and every effort will be made to add other medal recipients as they are identified. If you are aware of such an omission, please contact the firstname.lastname@example.org.
In addition to the above recipients of the Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Medals, 65 students from high schools around Manitoba were selected to receive the medal, on the basis of exceptional vocational, academic, or athletic abilities.
