Kroeker and Sons in 1936, who were pioneers in the production of corn and seed potatoes in Manitoba, serving as President and Chairman. He served on the Canadian Horticultural Council and was given an Honorary Life Membership. Kroeker was considered an expert on tariff issues and served on the International Trade Advisory Committee. He was also a member of the St. Boniface Hospital Research Foundation. He was given the Manitoba Golden Boy Award in 1966 for meritorious service to Manitoba. In 1989, he was appointed to the Order of Canada, and in 2000, was inducted into the Manitoba Agricultural Hall of Fame.
