Memorable Manitobans: Louise Clementine Combaz (1918-1992)Librarian. Born at Norwood on 12 February 1918, daughter of Augustine Fombeur (c1888-1977) and Alfred Antoine Combaz (1879-1945), she attended St. Mary’s Academy, graduating in 1937. She worked at the St. Boniface Public Library then was Legislative Librarian of Manitoba (1970-1988). In recognition of her community service, she received a Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Medal (1977). She died at the St. Boniface Hospital on 20 July 1992 and was buried in the St. Boniface Cemetery. See also:
