Educator.
Born at Margaret on 14 December 1906, daughter of Margaretta Grant Reekie (1879-1951) and Peter Robert Loutit, she taught in schools around Manitoba for most of her career, including at Cameron School (?-?), Rapid City School (1929-1930), Devonshire School (1939-1941), Faraday School (1941-1942), Robert H. Smith School (1944-1945), General Wolfe School (1945-1951), St. Johns High School (1953-1956), Churchill High School (1956-1958), Kelvin High School (1959-1960), except for two years spent in Paris. She was active and held executive positions in the Canadian Institute of International Affairs and United Nations Association. She edited the centennial publication Tomorrows' Post. In recognition of her community service, she was made a Fellow of the Canadian College of Teachers (1971) and received a Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Medal (1977). She died unmarried at Winnipeg on 12 March 2005.
