Founded formally in 1908 as the Manitoba Medical Association, representing licensed physicians in Manitoba, its origins go back to 22 May 1890, with the formation of the Provincial Medical Association of Manitoba, under President Marshall Macklin, First Vice-President John Harrison O’Donnell, Second Vice-President James Wilford Good, and Secretary-Treasurer James Robert Jones. In 2008, the organization changed its name to Doctors Manitoba.
