Memorable Manitobans: Wilfrid Seymour Peters (1888-1956)

Physician.

Born at Spencerville, Ontario on 21 November 1888, he graduated from the Manitoba Medical College in 1911 and practiced at Souris and Brandon. He served as President of the Manitoba Medical Association (1938-1939) and the Brandon Medical Association. On 15 July 1914, he married Mary Gladys Dennison (1889-1960, daughter of Albert Dennison) at Souris and they had two children, including Douglas Dennison “Doug” Peters. He died suddenly of a heart attack at Brandon on 8 January 1956.
