Physician.
Born at Shediac, New Brunswick in 1879, he came to Winnipeg with his family in 1881. He attended St. John's College then worked in a survey crew around Manitoba and Ontario. In 1907, he graduated from the Manitoba Medical College and had a general practice until 1918 when he took a postgraduate course in urology. He served as President of the Manitoba Medical Association (1928-1929).
On 14 August 1908, he married Jessie Potter Duncan (1881-1955, daughter of Thomas Duncan) in the RM of Louise. They had three children: Alice Halley Boardman (1909-?, wife of Peter Duncan Campbell), Edmund James Boardman (1911-?), and Betty Anne Boardman (1917-?, wife of Douglas John Dalton). The family lived at 70 Chestnut Street. He was a member of the Masons (Ancient Landmark Lodge) and St. George's Anglican Church.
He died at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on 12 May 1935 and was buried in the Elmwood Cemetery.
