Memorable Manitobans: John Proudfoot (?-2013)

Educator.

He came to Winnipeg in 1958 to attend United College. He taught at John Taylor Collegiate (1964-1965) and served as the Vice-Principal of Westwood Collegiate (1969-1973) and Principal of Bruce Junior High School (1975-1979), Alexander Ross School (1979-1981), St. James Collegiate (1981-1985), and Sturgeon Creek Regional Secondary School (1985-1994). He retired from teaching in 1994. He died at Winnipeg on 15 January 2013.
