Memorable Manitobans: Neil Murray McIvor (1906-1970)Educator. Born at Holland on 22 May 1906, he taught at Markland School (?-1928) and McIvor School (1929-1937) before working in the Winnipeg School Division from 1938, being a teacher at Strathcona School (1945-1952), John M. King School, and Greenway School (1953-1954); Vice-Principal at Machray School (1954-1956), and Principal at Somerset School (1956-1961), William Whyte School (1961-1965), and Carpathia School (1965-1970).
