Memorable Manitobans: David William “Dave” Frye (1942-2020)


Born on 15 May 1942, he had a 37-year career as a teacher in the St. James Assiniboia School Division at Woodhaven School (1965-1969), including service as the Vice-Principal of Bedson School (1969-1972) and Strathmillan School (1972-1975); Principal of Bannatyne School (1975-1981), Crestview School (1981-1989), Jameswood School (1989-1990), and Stevenson Britannia School (1990-1996); and Vice-Principal of Sansome School (1996-1997) until retirement in 1997. He died at Winnipeg on 25 August 2020.
