Memorable Manitobans: Celine Massicotte Thuot (?-1988)Educator. Born in the Rural Municipality of Eriksdale, the daughter of Omer Massicotte (c1879-1962) and Clerinda Saint Hilaire (c1887-1969), she received education at Abberville School, St. Malo School, St. Pierre, St. Joseph’s Academy, and the University of Manitoba (BA, BEd). She taught at Otterburne, Dominion City School, Pembina Crest School, Glenlawn Collegiate, and in the St. Boniface School Division, as Principal of Beliveau School and Librarian at Tache School for 10 years. She married Raymond Thuot (?-2008) and had one daughter and three sons. She died at the St. Boniface General Hospital on 20 July 1988. Sources:Marriage registrations, Manitoba Vital Statistics.
