Ronald Victor Shearer

Educator.
Born at Swink, Colorado in 1907, he came to Manitoba and graduated with a BA degree from the University of Manitoba in 1926. He taught at Broadlands School (1925), Greenwich School (1926-1927), and Little Mountain School (1927-1929) then was the Principal of Warren School (1929-1931), Tuxedo School (1931-1937), Queen Elizabeth School (1951-1952), Norwood School (1952-1957), and Nelson McIntyre Collegiate (1957-1966).
On 18 July 1931, he married Audrey Easton (?-1976) at Winnipeg and they had one son, Barry Shearer. The family lived at 120 St. Anne’s Road (1964). He was a member of the Winnipeg Schoolmasters’ Club (President), St. Boniface Rotary Club (President), and Strathcona Curling Club.
He died at his home in Lower Sackville, New Brunswick on 18 September 2000 and was buried at Winnipeg.
