Physician.
Born at Winnipeg in 1926, youngest of three children of Mabel Winnifred Coupland (?-1995) and Sydney Frank Mathers (1898-1988), she attended Wolseley School, Laura Secord School, and Gordon Bell High School before studying Science at the University of Manitoba. In 1944, she enrolled in the Manitoba Medical School and graduated in 1949. On 7 July 1951, she married physician Frank Bennett Pearson. They established a joint medical practice, with her specializing in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She had three children, including Janice Lyn Pearson (1952-1974) and Paul Pearson (1958-2006). She died at the Winnipeg General Hospital on 5 April 1960 and was buried in the St. James Cemetery.
