Businessman.
Born at Thornhill, Ontario in 1872, son of Henry and Margaret Munshaw, he was educated in public schools of Toronto before coming to Winnipeg in 1890. He worked for the Winnipeg street railway. He later established the Canadian Pacific Railway Laundry Company in partnership with Alexander Lawrie Scott, retiring from business around 1933.
On 18 October 1893, he married Caroline Handel (1872-1964) of Winnipeg. They had three children: Caroline “Carrie” Munshaw (1894-1989, wife of Robert Stuppard), John Henry “Jack” Munshaw (1897-1969), and Ernest Albert “Ernie” Munshaw (1899-1960). The family lived at 53 Kenaston Boulevard. He was a member of the Independent Order of Foresters and St. Giles United Church.
He died at the Winnipeg General Hospital on 7 June 1943 and was buried in the Elmwood Cemetery.
