He assists the Manitoba Historical Society in its Historic Sites of Manitoba inventory project by collecting information about buildings in cities and towns around Manitoba and how they were designed, built, owned, used, and renovated through the years.
In 2024, he received a Lieutenant Governor's Award for Historical Preservation and Promotion.
