Veterinary surgeon.
Born at Portage la Prairie on 17 February 1886, son of William John James and Annie Ironside Simpson (1858-1952), he graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1908 then the University of Toronto the year later. He returned to Portage as an associate in the veterinary firm of Taylor & Wilson, later moving to Gladstone where he purchased the practice of Dr. Shoultz. On 21 July 1908, he married Jeanette McLeod (1884-1972) at Winnipeg. He was a member of the IOOF and Modern Woodmen of America. He died at Victoria, British Columbia on 6 August 1959 and was buried in the Hatley Memorial Gardens at Colwood, British Columbia.
