Manitoba Communities: Gladstone (Unincorporated Town)

Originally named Third Crossing because it was situated at the third crossing of a prairie trail over the Whitemud River, it was renamed Palestine in 1871 and Gladstone in 1879. It commemorates British Prime Minister William Ewart Gladstone (1809-1898).
