Memorable Manitobans: Henry Frederick Hyson (1904-1979)Educator. Born at Bracknell, England on 13 May 1904, son of Augustus Hyson and Emily Blandford, he taught at Coldwell School (1928-1929) then came to Brandon where he taught at Alexandra School (1931-1935) and Earl Oxford School (1935-1941, 1943-1944) and served as the Principal of Park School (1941-1942) and Fleming School (1942-1943). On 29 September 1933, he married Ruth Elizabeth Bowen at Brandon. They later moved to Oliver, British Columbia. He died at Victoria on 11 February 1979.
