Educator.
Born at Winnipeg in 1938, son of James Johnathan Julius Hibbert (1905-1976) and Nora Elvira Malthouse (1911-1999), he grew up at 347 Brooklyn Street in St. James, attended school locally, spent his childhood summers at a family farm at Arborg, and graduated from the University of Manitoba with BA (1960), BSW (1963), CertEd (1964), and BEd (1966) degrees.
He worked in the Norwood School Division as a guidance counsellor and Principal of King George Fifth School (1970-1974). After a move to the Winnipeg School Division, he was a special education consultant and was Principal of Wolseley School (1984-1986) and Faraday School (1986-1993).
On 24 August 1963, he married Carol Lynne Cates at Westworth United Church and they had two children.
He died at Winnipeg on 2 February 2019.
