Educator.
Born in Western Ukraine in 1900, he came to Canada around 1909 and lived at Malonton, attended Malonton School and Teulon High School, and took teacher training. He taught throughout the Interlake region for 30 years, including at McMaster School (1919-1920), Bukovina School / Lord Roberts School (1923), River Ranch School (1927-1928), Plum Ridge School (1933-1938), Willow Creek School (1938-1940), and within the Malonton School District No. 1653 at its North School (1941-1947) and South School (1947-1954), the latter from which he also served as District Principal (1947-1954).
In 1954, he moved to 345 Rosseau Avenue West in Transcona and continued teaching at at Westview School (1954-1956, 1960-1961) and elsewhere in the Transcona School District until retirement in 1963.
He died unmarried at the Concordia Hospital on 5 November 1964 and was buried in the St. Stephen’s Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery.
