Memorable Manitobans: George J. Dodd (1877-?)Business manager. Born at Toronto, Ontario in 1877, son of George Dodd and Mary Scott, he was manager of the Winnipeg branch of the Dominion Textile Company, one of the largest manufacturers in Canada in the early 20th century. He also represented Montreal Cottons Limited. He lived at 37 Cornish Avenue and was a member of the AF & AM (Prince Rupert Lodge), Carleton Club, North West Commercial Travellers Association, and the Assiniboine Bowling Club.
