Businessman.
Born at Winnipeg on 12 October 1926, son of farmer Leonard Sheldon Bloomer (1889-1966) and Kathleen Naomi Ruth Britton (c1902-1955), brother of Edward James “Ted” Bloomer and Earl Sheldon Bloomer, his childhood was spent at Headingley before moving to Charleswood where he operated Bloomer's IGA and the Charleswood Motor Hotel with his brothers. In 1952, he married Beverley Ann “Bev” Bayne (1933-2022) and they had two sons and three daughters. He died at Winnipeg on 16 November 2014.
