Memorable Manitobans: Nicholas “Nick” Andrusko (1900-1983)Educator. Born in 1900, he taught extensively in rural Manitoba, including at River Ranch School (1926), Sarto School (1928-1930), Sandhill School (1939-1942), Senkiw School (1943-1944), Plum Ridge School (1947-1951), Tarno School (1951-1956, Principal), Queen Elizabeth School (1956-1957), New Rosewell School (1957-1958), Donald School (1958-1959, Principal), Green Bay High School (1959-1960, Principal), Whitemouth Collegiate (1961-1962), and Victoria Beach School (1967-1969, Principal). He and his wife Angela “Angelia” Andrusko (1905-1963) lived at Beausejour from around 1959 into 1963 and had three children: Rose Andrusko (wife of John Arthur Wilson), Reverend Sister Mary Muerson, and Maurice Andrusko. He died in 1983 and was buried in the Beausejour St. Mary Roman Catholic Cemetery.
