The Kreuzburg School District was established formally in February 1913 and a schoolhouse located at the southwest corner of SW23-19-2 East of the Principal Meridian in the Rural Municipality of Kreuzburg (now part of the Rural Municipality of Armstrong). The name was changed to Fraserwood School during the summer of 1918, adopting the Fraserwood name from the nearby community. That same year, two debentures were issued, the first around September 1918 for $3,200 to fund a one-rooms choolhouse and teacherage and then a second in November 1918 for $3,800, with both to fund an additional one-room schoolhouse and and 20 feet by 24 feet teacherage upon the existing school site.
In April 1967, the district became part of the Interlake School Division.
