Building contractor, architect.
Born in Russia around 1871, he moved to Winnipeg in 1906 and worked as a building contractor and architect. He and wife Zenia (c1872-?) had five children: Rosie Rubin (?-?, wife of Joe Katz), Abraham Rubin (c1902-?), Sarah Fran Rubin (c1903-?, wife of Jacob M. Schwartz), Jack Rubin (c1905-1943), and Rachel Rubin (c1908-?, wife of M. H. Starr). The family lived at 246 Salter Street (c1921) and a suite at 103 Bannerman Avenue (c1945). He died at the St. Joseph’s Hospital on 11 February 1945 and was buried in the Hebrew Sick Benefit Cemetery.
