Darryl Sigurdur Johnson

Educator.
Born at Winnipeg on 7 June 1944, he received an education degree from United College then began a nearly 40-year career in the St. James-Assiniboia School Division, first as a teacher at Brooklands Collegiate and John Taylor Collegiate, and later as a Vice-Principal at Strathmillan School (1984-1986), Principal, and Assistant Superintendent. He introduced the C.L.A.S.S. and Reading Recovery programs. He died at Winnipeg on 16 February 2024.
