Dentist.
Born at Vankleek Hill, Ontario on 29 March 1863, son of Samuel and Leonora Howes, he graduated from high school in 1887 then attended the Toronto College of Dentistry, graduating in 1901 then practicing at Vankleek Hill. He then took postgraduate training in dentistry at Chicago, Illinois, graduated then taught for a time at the college before returning to Vankleek.
In 1903, he moved to Brandon and operated a dental practice until 1926 when he retired to a farm near Toronto, Ontario. He was a member of the Order of Foresters and Ancient Order of United Workmen. He was killed in a motor vehicle collision on 1 September 1943 and was buried in the Cassburn Cemetery at Cassburn, Ontario.
