Farmer.
Born at Perthshire, Scotland on 5 October 1866, son of William and Corstina Glendinning, he emigrated to Manitoba in 1892 and farmed 200 acres in the Assiniboine River valley. It became the nucleus of a 960-acre farm on Township 10, Range 26 near Virden where he raised horses and cattle. On 15 June 1892, he married Christina Robertson (1862-1941) at Glasgow, Scotland. They had three children: William Glendinning (?-?), Tina Glendinning (?-?), and John Glendinning (1900-1954). He was a member of the Presbyterian church. He died at Virden on 10 January 1940 and was buried in the Virden Cemetery.
