Memorable Manitobans: John Glendinning (1866-?)Farmer. Born at Perthshire, Scotland in October 1866, son of William and Corstina Glendinning, he emigrated to Manitoba in 1892 and farmed 200 acres in the Assiniboine River valley. It became the nucleus of a 960-acre farm on Township 10, Range 26 near Virden, Manitoba where he raised horses and cattle. On 15 June 1892, he married Corstina Robertson at Glasgow, Scotland.
