Memorable Manitobans: Maxine Geller (1956-2020)

Educator.

Born at Winnipeg in 1956, daughter of Norma and Norman Geller, she graduated from Garden City Collegiate in 1974 then studied Education at the University of Manitoba. She taught in the Winnipeg School Division at Sisler High School, Grant Park High School, and Stanley Knowles School before becoming the Principal of Warren Collegiate in the Interlake School Division. She then returned to the Winnipeg School Division as the Principal of Elmwood High School (?-?), Champlain School (2009-2014), and Harrow School (2016-2017). She served as President of the Canadian Association of Principals. She died at Winnipeg on 19 July 2020.
