Memorable Manitobans: Benjamin “Ben” Foreman (c1898-1981)Educator. Born in England, he came to Canada as a young boy and settled with his parents at Arden, Manitoba. He was educated at Wesley College then taught school in rural Manitoba for many years, including service as Principal of Wingham School (1931-1935), Whitemouth School (1936-1940), Langruth School (1940-1944), and Arden School (1952-1955). He retired in the early 1960s due to ill health. He died unmarried at Winnipeg on 22 April 1981 and was buried in the Arden Cemetery.
