Farmer.
Born at Walkerton, Ontario on 8 February 1878, he came to Manitoba in 1892 and farmed 29-3-8W in the vicinity of Kaleida. On 22 July 1908, he married Clara Hasslefield (1874-1945) in the RM of Pembina and they had three daughters: Jean Elizabeth Carter (1910-?), Clara Hazel Carter (1912-?), and Aileen Grace Carter (1914). He was a Steward, Trustee, and Secretary-Treasurer in the Methodist Church. He later moved to Winnipeg and lived at 403 Elgin Avenue. He died at the Winnipeg General Hospital on 21 January 1946 and was buried in the Manitou Cemetery.
