Educator.
Born at Valletta, Malta on 27 March 1901, daughter of Emily Jane Ball (c1872-?) and Sargeant Major George William Groves (?-?), she and her widowed mother moved to Canada in 1920 and lived at Elm Creek (1921) and Gimli (1926). She taught Dakota School (1920), Gimli Public School (1922-1926), Meleb School (1929-1932, Principal), Fraserwood School (1932-1936; Principal 1932-1934), and Emerson School (1936-1940). On 3 August 1940, she married Albert Bruce Carson (1906-1985) at the Lady Chapel of All Saints Anglican Church and settled at Kenora, Ontario. She later retired to British Columbia where she died at Glenwarren Private Hospital in Victoria on 9 September 1989.
