Memorable Manitobans: John E. Bescoby (1880-?)Farmer, liveryman. Born in England on 24 January 1880, son of George John Bescoby and Mary Bernard, the family emigrated to Canada in 1890 and settled on a farm in the Rockwood Municipality. John remained on the family farm until 1908 when he went to Stonewall and purchased a livery business. On 20 March 1911 he married Josie Fraser of Scotland.
