Memorable Manitobans: James Reynolds Wynne (c1842-1914)

Wholesale druggist.

He came to Winnipeg in 1892 and was a partner in the wholesale drug company of Bole and Wynne, in partnership with David Wesley Bole. They later took on Edward Daniel Martin as a partner to become Martin Bole and Wynne. He retired from the business around 1909 and took up winter residence at New York City where he served on the city council for several years. He died at the Empire Hotel on 9 September 1914. His body was buried at Montreal, Quebec.
