This four-storey brick warehouse at the southeast corner of McDermot Avenue and Lydia Street in Winnipeg, measuring 64 feet by 133 feet, was designed by architect David Wynyard Bellhouse. It was built in 1914 by the construction firm of J. McDiarmid and Company at a cost of about $57,000 for the wholesale pharmacy company of Martin Bole and Wynne, founded by Edward Daniel Martin, David Wesley Bole, and James Reynolds Wynne.
Later owned by the Atlas Brush Company founded by James D. Graham to manufacture shoe and button-polishing brushes for the military during the Second World War, it continued to be used by a variety of businesses until June 1992 when it was sold to the Winnipeg Housing Rehabilitation Corporation at a cost of about $400,000. The building has been converted to residential housing.
