Memorable Manitobans: Katherine Caroline Weber (1912-1986)

Educator.

Born in the RM of Thompson on 4 November 1912, daughter of John B. Weber (?-1948) and Katherine Weber (c1883-1961), she attended Normal School then taught at Eriksdale School (?-?), Deer Creek School (?-?), Brunkild School (1942-1944), Starbuck School (1944-1948), and General Byng School (1949-1965). On retiring from General Byng, the library there was named for her. She died at Winnipeg on 13 September 1986 and was buried in the Hillside Cemetery at Morden.
