Pianist.
Born at Winnipeg on 16 October 1949, daughter of Dorothy Mary Black (1920-2008) and Ross Emerson Vasey, she received a BA degree and Master's degree in Music from the University of Manitoba and was known as a “fine musician whose capabilities ranged from Bach to Blues.” For nine years prior to her early death, she was the pianist for the Downchild Blues Band. She died at Toronto, Ontario on 6 July 1982 and was buried in the Brookside Cemetery. She is commemorated by the Jane Vasey Memorial Scholarship for music students at Brandon University.
