Memorable Manitobans: Alfred James Struthers (1889-1979)


He was Principal of Clearwater School (1909-1910), MacGregor School (1912-1913, 1917-1919), Pilot Mound School (1916-1917), West Treherne School (1920-1921), Emerson School (1921-1923), Holmfield School (1924-1926), Oakburn School (1926-1928), High Bluff School (1928-1931), and Whitemouth School (1932-1935). On 30 June 1917, he married Lily May Pogue (1895-1974) at MacGregor. He died in 1979 and was buried in the MacGregor Cemetery.
