Memorable Manitobans: George Albert Sproule (1872-1936)

Educator.

Born on 12 January 1872, he was Principal of Rapid City School (1902-1906). He was later a Professor of English at the Manitoba Agricultural College. He served as Superintendent of the Sunday School at Westminster United Church. He died unmarried at his Winnipeg home, 202 Ash Street, on 4 November 1936 and was buried in the St. John’s Cathedral Cemetery.
