Memorable Manitobans: Alexander John Shewchuk (1933-2015)


Born on a farm near Gardenton on 20 October 1933, son of John Shewchuk and Elizabeth Paskaryk, he was educated at the University of Winnipeg and University of Manitoba and had a 34-year career in education. He was the Principal of Stuartburn School (1954-1956), Elma School (1956-1961), and Whitemouth School (1963-1973). He died at Winnipeg on 21 November 2015.
