Grain merchant.
Born at Fort William [now Thunder Bay], Ontario on 25 October 1892, brother of Henry Eugene Sellers, he was educated there. He came to Winnipeg around 1912 and spent two years at Medicine Hat, Alberta. He worked for Oglvie Flour Mills (four years) and the Northwestern Elevator Company (eight years). He became a member of the Winnipeg Grain Exchnage in 1925. He joined Federal Grain in 1929 and rose to the position of Vice-President by the time of retirement in 1963.
On 6 June 1925, he married Isabel Ann Jamieson (1895-1986, daughter of Charles James Jamieson) at Winnipeg and they subsequently had three sons: Harold A. Sellers, Frank J. Sellers, and Frederick William “Wick” Sellers. The family lived at 55 Oak Street, Winnipeg. He was a member of St. George's Anglican Church and his interests included hunting, fishing, and gardening.
He died at the Winnipeg General Hospital on 15 March 1965 and was buried in the Brookside Cemetery.
