Memorable Manitobans: William Pawley Rundle (1856-1920)Teacher, insurance agent. Born at Toronto, Ontario, he taught school for several years. In 1882 he married Elizabeth McInnis and moved to Manitoba in 1889, settling at Portage la Prairie. He was manager of the Urban Mutual Insurance Company for many years. He moved to Winnipeg in 1911 and died there on 9 May 1920. He was buried in the Elmwood Cemetery. Sources:“Veteran Manitoban died on Sunday,” newspaper clipping dated 10 May 1920.
