Memorable Manitobans: Elof Peterson (1869-?)
Real estate broker. Born at Hessleholm, Sweden, 14 January 1869, son of Peter Johnson, he was educated at Swedish public schools. In 1889, he came to Winnipeg and engaged in contracting and building. In 1911, Peterson was proprietor of the The E. Peterson Company, 317 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg. He was also an agent for the Winnipeg Fire Insurance Company. In 1906, he married Alide Johnson (?-?) at Winnipeg and they had two sons and one daughter. He was a member of the Swedish Club. Recreations: hunting. Liberal. Address: 449 Selkirk Avenue, Winnipeg.
