Memorable Manitobans: Colin Murchison (1866-?)
Farmer.
Born in Victoria County, Ontario on 1 February 1866, son of Peter Murchison and Mary McCaskill, in 1881 the family moved to a 320-acre farm on Section 2, Township 12, Range 15 in the Norfolk district of Manitoba. He assisted his father in operating the farm until his father’s death, after which he took over the farm. He was a member of the IOOF.
