Memorable Manitobans: Alexander Munroe (1857-?)Born at the Red River Settlement on 20 March 1857, son of Robert Munroe and Christina Fraser, in 1892 he moved to a farm on lots 78 and 79 along the Red River, later adding 600 acres in lots 282 and 288 in St. Andrews. On 20 March 1900 he married Sarah Leslie of Toronto. They had seven children: Robert McCalman Munroe, George Earle Munroe, Norman Albert Munroe, Leslie Fraser Munroe, Margaret McNeray Munroe (?-1913), Alexandria Munroe, and James Donald Munroe.
