Lawyer.
Born at Winnipeg on 6 November 1933, son of Robert Coxworthy Morton (1902-1934) and Kathleen Edith Meek (c1903-1975), he received BA (1956) and Law (1960) degrees from the University of Manitoba and was called to the Manitoba Bar in June 1960. He practiced law with the firm of Monk Goodwin and Company until 1966 when he was appointed a Crown Prosecutor in the Winnipeg magistrate's court. In recognition of his service, he was made a Queen's Counsel in 1976. On 3 May 1958, he married Joan Ann Baldwin at St. George's Anglican Church and they had three children. Active with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, he was inducted as a builder into the Bombers Hall of Fame (2014). He died at Winnipeg on 21 February 2024.
