Educator.
Born near Gladstone on 22 April 1922, daughter of Ethel Gladys Ann Brown (c1896-1991) and Lloyd Alexander Phillips (1892-1966), she grew up at family farm on 13-19-10W near Amaranth, attained her grade 12, and attended Manitoba Teachers’ College. She taught at Reeve School (?-?), East Tupper School (1945), Lloyd George School (1950s), and Maple School / Maple Creek School (1968-1977; Principal 1970-1977).
She often boarded with district families while working in rural school districts that did not have their own teacherages, and during one of these periods lived with the Millar family where she met Donald Clayton “Donnie/Don” Millar (1925-2004). They married on 9 October 1948 at Winnipeg. They had no children.
She died at Manitou on 19 April 2016 and was buried in the Miami Cemetery.
