Memorable Manitobans: Gilbert Beebe McColl (1882-1977)Surveyor. Born at Winnipeg on 8 October 1882, son of Ebenezer McColl, brother of Samuel E. McColl, he graduated from the University of Manitoba and worked as a Dominion Land Surveyor and civil engineer until retirement in 1947.
