Memorable Manitobans: Frederick William Stuart “Fred” May (1903-1974)

Building contractor.

Born at Winnipeg on 4 November 1903, son of ? May and Annie Smith, he worked as a general contractor. He bought and sold real estate, especially in the Armstrong’s Point neighbourhood of Winnipeg. He and wife Peggy May had one son. He died at the Misericordia Hospital on 14 October 1974 and was buried in the Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
