Memorable Manitobans: Reginald Wayne “Reg” Low (1939-2024)

Businessman, community activist.

Born at Regina, Saskatchewan on 14 May 1939, he moved to Winnipeg with his family and spent his childhood in Charleswood. Following high school, he received a business management degree from the University of Manitoba. In 1976, he started his own business that became the acoustical panel manufacturing company Sound Concepts Canada.

Active in the community, he was President of the Winnipeg Optimist Club, Sales and Marketing Executives, Junior Achievement, Winnipeg Football Club (1994-1995), and Manitoba Club (2009). He was a member of the St. Charles Golf and Country Club. In recognition of his service, he was inducted into the Winnipeg Blue Bombers Hall of Fame (2012).

He died at Winnipeg on 23 October 2024.
